Inner beauty vs outer beauty

How much would you spend on your skin? Some friends of mine spends about RM300-500 a month of skin care and facial. In 1 Peter 3, Peter told the women that their beauty should not come from outer adornment but inner self- a gentle and quite spirit. So, since we should be busy building inner beauty how much should we focus and spend on outer beauty? Are they really important? Any one has any comment on this?

Hi Lee Mei, from my own views, while there are teaching similar to what you posted there, some women example me, can't deny we are vain and outer beauty is as important too. To me, inner beauty comes from learning as you grow old with many experiences you faced and if you pick up those bad or good experience to build yourself. As for external beauty, heck man.... there's so much beauty center and skin care products... you can't just not use it..hehehehe

hi there.i would certainly agree to go for facials or even gym to keep our skin & body healthy. Not so much on the vain side, but more of taking good care of it, a body that God has given to us.Reasons:
a) As we bear God's image, we certainly don't want to look like a slump rite :-)
b) As long as we spend within our means, i would think that it's perfectly fine.
c) I would think inner & outer beauty are equally important ie the inner character of a person which would bear the Fruit of the Holy Spirit & outer beauty does not mean PRADA outfits, a simple plain white t-shirt with kotaraya jeans & sneakers looks great & cool to me :-)
